WIC Events

WIC is known for the diversity and quality of our events. In order to meet the aims of our association, WIC holds numerous events each year. They range from informational to purely networking events but are all categorised by being affordable and fun.

WIC is pleased to support events and other associations which provide value to our members. Endorsement by WIC provides an event or another organisation with access to a broad range of ICT people in the ACT.

WIC is often approached by associations and event organisers to endorse their events and activities. We therefore ask any organisations seeking endorsement to make a proposal on the WIC Endorsement Application Form and forward it to us. WIC's Endorsement Policy is also available.

WIC's HOT Breakfast Series

WIC's exceptionally popular annual HOT Breakfast looked at the future of technology on all sorts of aspects of daily life, work and the environment..

For those of you not familiar with the HOT Breakfast Series, the aim is to enable you to:

• Enjoy a HOT Breakfast, while you
• Hear a HOT Speaker, talk about an
• Exciting HOT topic.

As well as hearing about some of the diverse nature of the ICT industry, the WIC HOT Breakfast Series provides an excellent opportunity to network and is a great event to bring colleagues and clients to. Like all WIC events, gentlemen are most welcome.

WIC Members' Only High Tea

The members' only high tea has proven to be one of WIC's most successful afternoon events. Members are invited to enjoy a relaxed afternoon with an interesting speaker.

WIC's Annual General Meeting is held each June. All WIC members are welcome.

WIC in Winter Dinner and Debate

The annual WIC in Winter Dinner and Debate held each August, is one of the true highlights of the year. Each year two fantastic teams have debated on topics including:

• "Women are not emotionally, intellectually or genetically disposed to work in the ICT industry!"
• "Technology has a positive impact on daily life"
• "Geek is the new black"
• "There would have been no GFC if women were in charge"
