WIC Committees

Being a member of a committee enables you to be more involved with WIC without making the major commitment of being a board member. Each committee undertakes different activities so there should be one to interest almost everyone.

The events committee organises and runs all of WIC's member events. These include the HOT Breakfast Series, the WIC in Winter dinner and debate as well as other events as decided by the committee. Activities include event management and coordination, promotion etc.

The membership committee develops ideas and carries out activities to encourage new members. Membership fees are vital; they are what keep the organisation running the more members we have the more we can do.

With all the great events we hold we feel it is time to get some real publicity. This committee will liaise with the other committees to ensure that all our various events and activities receive the publicity they deserve.  This committee also manages the website and delivers the Newsletters to our subscribers.

In addition we look after the WICked Woman Award.  It is given once a month, during the Hot Breakfast Series to a member who has achieved excellence in the ICT field and will culminate in the WICked Woman of the Year to be announced at the WIC in Winter dinner and debate.

 How To Join A Committee

If you are interested in joining any of these committees please email the WIC Secretary with your name, contact numbers, email address and of course the committee/s you are interesting in joining. You will then be contacted in the next few weeks by the board member with responsibility for that committee.
