Michelle is an enthusiastic supporter and advocate for
ICT industry development in Canberra. Michelle has been involved in the ICT
industry in Canberra for over 17 years. Michelle was integral in establishing
the highly successful AIIA Canberra.Net program, that will benefit both ICT
companies and clients.She is the cofounder of DPM Consulting - a highly
successful software development company - and is the General Manager of 'Intelledox'
- a web-based document creation platform. Michelle has an excellent 'can do'
reputation through the SME and multinational ICT community as well as the
broader business community. Her vision, enthusiasm and drive are second to
none.
Lorrainne Noffke has been working in the field of ICT for
over 30 years. Beginning in the Public Sector in 1974 with the Department of
Immigration, where she worked for 4 years, then in the Detartment of Housing
and Construction for the next 8 years. Lorrainne took the leap to the Private
Sector in 1986 with a large Australian Company - Sigma Data. In 1988, Lorrainne
moved from the technical side of ICT to sales and launched the software arm of
Sigma Data - Sigma Softek. In 1991, Lorrainne joined Techway Solutions and
launched the Gupta Software offerings into Federal Government. In 1993,
continuing with the Gupta Software, Lorrainne formed the ACT Branch of Jarrah
Technologies where the market share within Client Server software, grew to 90% of
Federal Government Accounts. In 1997, Lorrainne co-founded Eucalypt Software
Partners to promote the emerging Data Integration market and continued to
succeed in this space for the next 11 years. Lorrainne has work for MNCs as
well as SMEs and has extensive experience in Sales and Marketing. Over the past
3 years, as a founding member of the ACT Branch of AIIA, Lorrainne has taken on
the role of Events Sub-Committee chair and is also the Treasurer.
Nerida Gill
is the Director of a Canberra-based software company and the developer of a
self-named accounting software package designed specifically for volunteer
treasurers in the community and non-profit sector. Nerida has used her 22-years
of experience in the software industry and four-years of experience as a
volunteer treasurer to create a software solution to develop a successful
software business addressing the needs of the not for profit sector. Nerida
works extremely hard to market and grow her business. The
success of her efforts is exemplified by the many prestigious awards her company
has achieved since incorporation in 2006. These include, the 2006 Australian
Business Award for Community Contribution in the industry category, the 2006 and
2007 ACT Small Business Award in the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in
Community Business Partnerships and 2008 Canberra BusinessPoint Award for their
Business Plan. Nerida
has developed a software solution to meet customer needs and she has built and
grown a successful business around this. Having seen Nerida speak on her
business and experiences, it is difficult not to be inspired by her
achievements. She is certainly a great role model for all women in ICT. |
